Join us for the Tribal Voices, Energy Sovereignty Workshop: a 3-day community event where we’ll talk about the future of energy in Grand Portage. No technical knowledge is needed—just your lived experience, your ideas, and your hopes for what’s possible.
The format is accessible to everyone, regardless of background or expertise.
- Day 1 focuses on community stories and lived experiences with energy issues.
- Day 2 introduces energy basics—like solar, wind, and microgrids—through presentations from experts.
- Day 3 brings participants together to identify shared goals and plan next steps.
Feedback from the workshop will directly influence the Tribal Strategic Energy Plan and guide future infrastructure, funding opportunities, and job creation.
Everyone is encouraged to attend—elders, youth, longtime residents, and those just beginning to learn about energy. Meals will be provided each day.
